Bah humbug.

Cruel and Unusual Punishment
AKA
Summer Reading Homework

The book we have to read, "Mythology", by Edith Hamilton, may just be the most boring collection of Greek Myths in the history of time. These stories are supposed to be ravishing tales of heroes, tragedies, and the ever-philandering womanizer Lord Zeus: yet she has somehow managed to transform the most exciting Greek Myths into the most boring collection of words my eyes have ever had the misfortune to lay upon.

Greek Mythology has long since been one of my most revered and favored topics. I have read the original "The Iliad" and "The Odyssey" by Homer. Those great tomes hold far more appeal than the small, tiny print in this boring novel.

Bah humbug to you, Edith Hamilton. Bah humbug to you.

(I feel the bad karma being generated. Yet I am not at a fault for expressing my utmost opinions. The font in this book is small. Small, and bold. Small, bold, and smudgy. It smudges on my fingers. Oh, the smudge.)
